GROUP CLASSES

|
Pilates is a traditional mat floor-work class based on a series of core strengthening exercises created by Joseph Pilates. These exercise use muscle control, breathing techniques, imagery and postural alignment to strengthen the entire body. Emphasis is on spinal range of motion, as well as intensive work for the abdominal muscles. |

Tower Class incorporates the use of specialized PILATES equipment called the "Tower" to gain core control, strength and flexibility. Exercises are performed with precision and concentration using a combination of springs, bars and straps to create additional resistance and/or assistance through the traditional PILATES exercise repertoire.

Mat with Toys is a PILATES class utilizing props such as the magic circle, foam rollers, arc barrels, bands and balls. (We call them toys!) Besides focusing on spinal alignment, we will pay particular attention to the positioning of the shoulder and pelvic girdles throughout each exercise in order to gain greater postural awareness and better overall movement habits. This class is especially beneficial for students new to PILATES.

CORE is an effective workout using your own body weight and free weights to activate and tone your deepest muscles more efficiently than traditional strength training. Integrating the core with every movement, this class creates strong abdominals and back muscles, sculpted arms and shoulders, and a more supportive lower body. |

Strong Bones consists of fun and invigorating weight-bearing exercises to activate growth and density within the bones. This outdoor class will meet at the main pavilion at Anson B. Nixon park at 7:45am. (In the event of inclement weather the class will be held indoors at the studio.)Call 610-444-7314 between 6:15am - 7am on Saturday mornings (the day of the class) to confirm the location. |

PRIVATE CLASSES ARE BY APPOINTMENT |
|
|
A one-on-one lesson utilizing the PILATES machines as well as incorporating mat work into the session. Private classes are perfect for those students who wish to have 100% of an instructor's attention. Private classes are also recommended for students with special physical needs or limitations.
It is highly recommended that all new students take at least one private lesson whether you are brand new to PILATES or have previous experience because it will help us to evaluate your personal needs and abilities in order to direct you to the classes that will best support your individual fitness goals.

DUET AND TRIO CLASSES ARE BY APPOINTMENT |
|
|
Two or three students sharing one teacher, utilizing all of the PILATES machines as well as incorporating mat work into the session. Duet or Trio classes are perfect for two or three individuals with similar fitness levels. (When making a Duet or Trio appointment, you must book with your partner(s) in mind.) If you do not have a partner, we will do our best to help you find one.
Appointments for Private, Duet or Trio classes may be made any time that group classes do not appear on the schedule. Please consult the group class schedule for available times.
